Lane Transit District will soon offer a new "Downtown Eugene Loop" which will take passengers to parts of Downtown Eugene every 30 minutes.

The route will launch Sept. 7, along with LTD's other fall service changes. LTD described the route as a 2-year pilot program funded with Statewide Transportation Improvement Funds.

In a press release, LTD CEO Jameson Auten said the new route "will play a vital role in shaping a more accessible downtown."
