The NFL schedule makers saw a golden opportunity with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets for Week 1, and they took it.

Former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Steelers quarterback Justin Fields will each face each other and their former teams. When Fields was asked about the storyline of the dual-revenge game, Fields said he hadn’t thought of that aspect of the game.

“There’s no storyline for me,” Fields said. “It’s ball for me, so I’ll let you guys kind of handle the storylines, the news lines and stuff like that. In the locker room, we just keep it straight ball.”
