A sweep would be very sweet for the Saskatchewan Roughriders .

After defeating the visiting Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34-30 in the Labour Day Classic on Sunday, the Roughriders are looking to sweep the annual home-and-home series when they meet again in the Banjo Bowl on Saturday at 2 p.m. at sold-out Princess Auto Stadium. Saskatchewan last swept the series in 2018.

“We know, for us, we’re going into the most hostile environment in the league,” Roughriders head coach Corey Mace said after a record-setting crowd of 34,243 watched the Roughriders hang onto a victory against their archrivals at Mosaic Stadium.

“Everybody cheers for us here, the only other place is to go there and it’s a hard place to play.”
