1 dead after vehicle collides with ATV in Milwaukee, driver arrested

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 23-year-old Milwaukee man is facing felony charges after a crash that killed one person and critically injured another early Saturday, Aug. 30, according to a criminal complaint.

Prosecutors say Jaden Allen-Zion Brown-Smith was driving a Chevrolet Malibu without a valid license when he crashed into a red ATV near 28th and Concordia. Victor Ramos later died at Froedtert Hospital, and Brittney Harshman remained in critical condition as of the writing of the complaint.

Brown-Smith told investigators he swerved to avoid the ATV, which reportedly entered the street from an alley, but could not stop in time to prevent the crash.
