BURTON, SC (WTOC) - A Beaufort County man is facing charges after the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) says they found a dogfighting operation in Burton in August 2025.

30-year-old Justinn Moultrie is charged with 9 counts of animal fighting and nine counts of ill treatment of animals.

The charges stem from an August 11th raid by the SLED Dogfighting Unit which also saw the arrest of 54-year-old Spencer Lamont Moultrie.

They say they found nine adult dogs and one puppy, along with items they say are associated with dogfighting.

Officials say nine of the dogs had scar patterns consistent with organized dog fighting.

SLED says Moultrie was found and arrested by agents on Tuesday.
