Colton Herta isn't hiding it: He wants to race in Formula 1 and Wednesday announced he will be a test driver for Cadillac F1.

Herta called it a "dream opportunity" to join the American F1 team set to debut with veteran drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez in 2026.

It also signals the end of Herta's tenure with Andretti's IndyCar team, at least for now.
