With America’s Semiquincentennial celebration a year away, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker and other city leaders launched what they described as a “neighborhood-focused” vision for the nation’s 250 th birthday in 2026.

The initiative -- titled "Ring It On! One Philly, A United Celebration" -- showcases and invests in the city's neighborhoods and small businesses through a yearlong series of festivals, attractions and experiences, officials said.

City leaders said the investments will focus on "activations, beautifications and celebrations" in an effort to boost civic pride and strengthen neighborhood economies.
