‘We would not accept the result from that time’ – Hungary aiming to avoid errors from defeat in Dublin last year

The Hungarian camp have vowed to avoid the mistakes they made in their last meeting with the Republic of Ireland and get their World Cup qualifying campaign off to a positive start.
The sides last met in a friendly in Dublin in June of last year, where Hungary appeared to have done enough to earn a 1-1 draw, only for Troy Parrott to score an injury-time winner, a blow for Hungary in their penultimate game before the Euro 2024 finals. It was their first defeat in 14 matches.
