John E. Sununu is making a return to politics, telling News 9 in an exclusive interview that he is exploring a run for U.S. Senate in 2026.

Sununu, 60, served a single term in the Senate, from 2003-2009, and began working in the private sector after losing to Jeanne Shaheen in the 2008 election. Prior to his time in the Senate, he served three terms in Congress, representing New Hampshire’s 1 st District.
