A Florida man has been charged with aggravated battery following accusations of a foot fetish gone wrong.

Elmoncy Sercle, 28, of southwest Miami-Dade, allegedly arranged to meet a foot model he encountered on the Seeking dating app at a hotel in Aventura on Aug. 24, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by People magazine .

But things went awry when Sercle, who was there to buy her used running shoes, allegedly asked the woman if he could smell her feet.

The model, who asked not to be identified, told Sercle that the footwear would cost him $1,000, which were in her car, but he balked at the price, she told police.

Sercle fled the hotel room when the woman went to use the bathroom, and the model gave chase, thinking he had stolen from her, according to the police report.
