VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The Everett AquaSox bats have been hot lately.

The Frogs used 13 hits and eight walks to pound the Vancouver Canadians 8-1 Tuesday for a Northwest League win at Nat Bailey Stadium to open the final regular season series of the season.

Everett, which as scored seven or more runs in three straight games, improved to 21-40 in the second half standings and 59-69 0verall. The AquaSox will play five more in Vancouver before playing in the Northwest League Championship Series next week.

Luis Suisbel led the way on Tuesday, going 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and three RBI. Milkar Perez and Brandon Eike each contributed three hits and an RBI.

While the AquaSox compiled baserunners, the Everett pitching staff limited the damage to one earned run.
