LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A new section of Pine Lake Road will be closed on Thursday for the next phase of a street improvement project.

The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department said the westbound lanes between 32nd and 29th streets will be shut down.

The work is scheduled to be finished by early October.

Officials said westbound traffic will use the eastbound lanes between those two streets.

The north side of the 29th Street and Pine Lake Road intersection will also be closed, according to the city.

Left turns at that intersection and driveways between 27th and 32nd streets will be prohibited during the closure.

Drivers can still access shopping and businesses south of Pine Lake Road by using the 27th Street and Southridge Road intersection.
