The leader of the Detroit Tigers ' bullpen suffered an injury.

Right-handed reliever Kyle Finnegan experienced right groin tightness while warming up in the bullpen Wednesday, Sept. 3, in the finale of the three-game series against the New York Mets at Comerica Park.

After the injury, Finnegan wasn't available to pitch in Wednesday's game.

The severity of the injury is unclear.
