Outer Banks History Center to Hold Grand Reopening Event Sept. 30

The Outer Banks History Center (OBHC), the eastern branch of the State Archives of North Carolina, and part of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, is now open to the public following its closure for a complete renovation.

To celebrate, the OBHC will host a grand reopening event Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 1-4 p.m. A speaker program will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed by tours of the newly renovated facility. Light refreshments will be served. RSVPs are welcome but not required. Please contact History Center staff at 252-423-5240 or obhc@dncr.nc.gov to RSVP or if you have any questions.
