Cardi B performs during the WWE 2025 SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium on August 02, 2025 in East Rutherford, New Jersey

Cardi B could've brought her New York swag to the Super Bowl stage.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper told Billboard she declined a previous offer, but would be open to doing it in the future.

"I got asked to do the Super Bowl and I denied it. I feel like soon, if I get to do it, I’m going to have more hits," Cardi B told the outlet for a cover story. "I’m going to be more experienced and I’m going to eat that up."

It's unclear when Cardi B was asked to perform, but hip hop has had a place at the Super Bowl halftime show in recent years, the most recent being Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Cardi B cleared in civil case

Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has been making waves on social media ahead of the release of her highly anticipated album "Am I The Drama?," scheduled for later this month.

One of her latest viral moments stemmed from the trial for a $24 million civil case, where Beverly Hills security guard Emani Ellis accused the rapper of assault in 2018. The "Outside" rapper was found not liable in the civil case on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

"I will say it in my deathbed, I did not touch that woman," she said outside the courthouse. "I did not touch that girl. I didn't lay my hands on that girl."

"With that being said," she added. "The next person to try to do a frivolous lawsuit against me, I'm going to countersue and I'm going to make you pay."

She later posted a video online celebrating and dancing to what appears to be new music: "Walking out of court likeeee #bodegabaddie," she captioned.

Cardi included her courtroom memes in her album rollout

Before the jury's verdict, clips of Cardi's bold personality on the stand were widely circulated and meme-ified. Her looks and wig choices became a focal point, too, for both fans and lawyers in the courtroom. One attorney notably asked her about the hairstyle changes during her testimony.

Cardi has taken advantage of the buzz and decided to use the memes as an alternative cover to the CD edition of her upcoming project, which is currently available on her website for $10.

Cardi B is 'confident' in her position in the industry

During her interview with Billboard, Cardi B spoke about how she remains secure in a space where so many female rappers have made their introductions since her debut "Invasion of Privacy" in 2018.

"So many girls come and go. They’re great, but yet (the fans are) asking for my product," Cardi B said. "Every year there’s a debate on social media about when is my album dropping. They’re not saying that about other people, so y’all need to ask them. That’s why I’m so confident."
