Those who work inside 1960 Paris St. say they are devastated, but not necessarily surprised, to hear two people were murdered inside one of the towers last week.
In the wake of a double murder that took place last Friday at the apartment complex (known previously as Rumball Terrace), The Star spoke with two individuals who have worked at the address for several years, with one of the social service agencies on site.
The workers asked that their names not be used because they are not authorized to speak to the media.
They said conditions at the building have deteriorated over the last year or two. Nowadays, there are often homeless people sleeping “on the ninth and 11th floors, in the hallways. When you come in, there’s quite a lot of garbage, urine and feces left in hallways. There’s an
