VEYO, Utah — A child died Monday after being left in a car on a hot day.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office confirmed the child's death on Wednesday. The child was three years old. The victim was reportedly left in a car outside an apartment building in the town of Veyo.
Dammeron Valley Fire officials added that it happened around 6:15 p.m. They said the call came in as a cardiac arrest, and the first responders attempted lifesaving measures prior to the toddler being declared dead.
