LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A loaded gun was recovered and a student was arrested at Basic Academy of International Studies, a school letter confirmed Wednesday morning.

FOX5 obtained a letter from the Henderson high school’s principal, Tati M. Hadavi, saying a gun with ammunition was recovered and a student was arrested without incident by Clark County School District Police.

The principal says there were no threats made to students or staff.

The letter says the school is unable to discuss individual student matters due to privacy laws.
