Jayden Dalke made an unexpected 17-minute trip to the hospital on Sunday evening.
After suffering an injury midway through the second quarter of the Labour Day Classic, the fourth-year member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders left Mosaic Stadium and went to get his injury assessed at a hospital in Regina before making a return not only back to the stadium, but back into the game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
“On one of the kickoffs, I just got kind of blocked in the back; tangled up running full speed,” Dalke said on Wednesday as the Roughriders returned to practice. “I don’t know how I landed — I look at it and it’s still cloudy on film — but I hurt my neck and shoulder, and then all of a sudden, I got up to try to finish off the play, and my whole arm was on fire and pins and need
