Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams are looking forward to deploying a new-look offense Monday against the Vikings.

Johnson, the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator who took the Bears job knowing he would be tasked with unlocking Williams’ potential, is putting the finishing touches on his gameplan for Monday’s season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

He says his relationship with Williams has continued to blossom, and that he’s ready to ride out any issues as his offense takes shape before his head coaching debut.

“We’re going to grow together,” he said. “This offense is going to grow together with him. And, you know, there'll be some bumpy steps along the way, but that's okay. I feel really good about where he's at right now.”
