Hunt Oil recently reported to state officials that the 15,500-gallon spill happened Friday, Aug. 29, about 13 miles southeast of Stanley, according to a release from the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality.
About 50 barrels, or 1,575 gallons, leaked off the pad onto nearby farmland, the release said.
“Personnel from the NDDEQ have inspected the site and are working with the responsible party on cleanup,” the release said. “They will continue to monitor the remediation.”
