REIDSVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) — The assistant chief of the Reidsville Police Department was let go on September 9 after an internal investigation.

WSAV obtained former Assistant Chief Jermaine Snell's termination letter and a copy of the internal investigation findings. Documents show that Snell was placed on administrative leave on July 17.

Parker Consulting and Investigations out of Martinez, Georgia conducted the investigation. Documents show Snell abused his power as the sole custodian of the evidence room, used his administrative access to download nearly 15 hours of another officer's unrecorded body camera footage, made unauthorized uniform purchases exceeding the budget by over $4,000 and committed other accusations of misconduct and insubordination.
