LAFAYETTE, la. (KLFY) -- Multiple schools throughout Lafayette Parish School Systems (LPSS) are undergoing renovations, which has concerned many parents and students, but LPSS reassures these construction projects will provide a greater learning environment for students.

Tracy Wirtz with LPSS explained how the schools will undergo three construction projects that bring them into the modern age.

"We are adding wings, permanent wings, to three schools in Lafayette Parish: Acadiana High, Judice Middle and L.J. Alleman Middle School." Wirtz said.

According to LPSS, Judice Middle School will be receiving new classrooms since the old rooms were too costly to remodel.
