Claymont teen arrested in McDonald’s robbery turns himself in to Delaware State Police

CLAYMONT, DE – A 19-year-old from Claymont has been charged in connection with a robbery that took place last month at a McDonald’s in the community, Delaware State Police announced.

On September 2, Avery Quartlebaum surrendered at Troop 1, where he was formally charged with robbery second degree and conspiracy second degree, both felonies. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Police previously reported that a 17-year-old suspect had already been arrested in the case. Details of that arrest and the initial investigation were released earlier.

The Delaware State Police have not released further details on the robbery incident itself.
