On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys’ first game of the season will kick off at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia. They’ll take on the Eagles, who won the Super Bowl last season.

Aside from the rivalry between the two teams, football season as a whole means a big spike in pizza sales as fans watch their favorite teams at home.

“Fall football, fourth quarter is our biggest quarter of the year,” said Rob Duprey, owner of Jet’s Pizza in Flower Mound. He said the holidays also play a role in this.

The Detroit-style pizza is kneaded and hand-pressed in thick steel pans. They’re cheesy, crispy and cut into squares.

The national chain has hundreds of stores across the country, but only about 30 franchises in Texas.
