GALESBURG, Ill. (KWQC) - Wednesday is the last day to apply for Galesburg’s Ward One Councilor.

Mayor Peter Schwartzman said he is looking for a person with:

A history of community engagement and connection

Has a working knowledge of city government and current events

Lives in Ward One

If appointed, the new council member will serve through April 2027, officials said.

Applications are due by 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
