A Calgary man ran the entire perimeter of the city last weekend — a 137-kilometre loop that took him nearly 22 hours to complete.
“I like doing hard things, and thought this would be a fun way to do that,” said Jesse Rogers, a local electrician and father of two.
“If I do hard things willingly, then it makes the hard things that you go through in everyday life easier,” Rogers said. “When you have to work longer hours, or you have to wake up with your two young kids in the middle of the night — I willingly went and ran through the night, so it puts it into perspective that I should be able to get up with my kids a couple times a night.”
