DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The village of Versailles shared the sad news of the unexpected death of its Fire and EMS Chief, Brian Pearson, on Sunday, August 31.

Pearson was 49 years old when he died in the ER at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.

Versailles said Pearson was a community steward and was active in Versailles Poultry Days and on the Heritage Park Board. He was a dedicated fireman and Chief, having served the community for 27 years.

“The Versailles community is a better and safer place today because of all of the work and dedication that he put forth,” wrote the village on social media. “We ask that everyone please keep Brian along with his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.”

He is survived by his girlfriend, Crystal Buteau, and her son
