Republicans will move forward as soon as next week with a plan to fast-track dozens of President Donald Trump’s nominees with a permanent change in Senate rules.
Leaving a conference lunch on Wednesday, Senate GOP leadership signaled that appointees could soon be processed in batches, with the Senate able to bundle and confirm a committee’s nominees in a single floor vote.
