OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is cutting federal and state contracts for select service providers across the state.
Select service providers received notice on Friday, August 29, that certain contracts would not be renewed.
Tree Kelley, Executive Director of the local non-profit 'Parents Helping Parents' received one of those letters, feeling a wave of shock.
"I felt like I just got kicked in the stomach, to be honest. I was not expecting it," Kelley said.
