Trent Grisham, as it turns out, was nobody's throw-in in the Juan Soto trade.

Grisham didn't play much in year one for the New York Yankees after arriving alongside Soto in a blockbuster trade with the San Diego Padres. But with Soto and Alex Verdugo gone in free agency, Grisham has gotten his chance this season, and he's made it count.

On Tuesday night, Grisham hit a grand slam -- his third this season -- against Houston Astros starter Framber Valdez. Not only did it help the Yankees coast to a 6-1 win, but it got him within one homer of 30 this season, after never hitting 20 or more in any previous year since his 2019 debut.

Grisham is slated to hit free agency after the season, and pursuing him will be an interesting dilemma for the Yankees. Fellow outfielder Cody Bellinger is likely
