ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Tuesday night’s Cardinals game attendance was the lowest for Busch Stadium III outside of the pandemic.
At the game, a season-low 17,000 fans bought tickets. Outside of the pandemic, that is the lowest total for a game at the stadium since it opened in 2006.
In 2022, the Cardinals had the second-best attendance in Major League Baseball, drawing 40,000 fans a game.
This year, the Cardinals have the 19th-best attendance in baseball, on pace to be the lowest amount of fans at Busch in 30 years.
