RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -Local smog shops say the emissions program in Nevada is broken because their machines and the system that regulates it are broken.
“If I ran my business the way they run their business, I wouldn’t be here,” says A1 Master Mechanic owner Jeff Pheasant.
Pheasant is talking about Worldwide Environmental.
That’s the company that has the exclusive contract with Nevada to maintain and repair smog machines here in the Reno Sparks Carson City area, and down in Clark County as well.
“The service times, they went to crap,” says Castrol Premium Lube Express general manager Jarvis Furbay.
Compared to what other smog shops had to say, Furbay is putting it nicely.
