VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - Some confusion in the courtroom Wednesday after the man accused of attempting to kidnap an 11-year-old girl in Vancouver did not show up for his plea hearing.
According to the judge, this was the second time defendant Michael McGlothlin missed a court date, so the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
FOX 12 has been following this story for more than a year, and on Wednesday, McGlothlin was expected to plead guilty to charges of kidnapping, assault, and custodial interference.
Those charges stem from this incident that was caught on camera. State prosecutors and Vancouver police said the video shows McGlothlin attempting to kidnap an 11-year-old girl in Lieser Crest Park last August. Luckily, a good Samaritan intervened and McGlothlin fled the scene. He
