Dough Street bakery in Balcatta has announced it will be resuming operations after one of its owners endured “five intense days in hospital” as the result of a recently inserted IUD.
The popular gluten free bakery was forced to close temporarily on Friday, with founder Nathan revealing on social media that his partner Mel, a co-founder, had been hospitalised due to a “mystery illness”.
On Sunday, the bakery was flooded with well-wishes after announcing Mel was on the mend, with the pair excited to welcome customers back to the bakery on Wednesday. Loading Instagram Post
