EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District bus with students on board was involved in a car crash Wednesday afternoon, the district reported.

The Edinburg Consolidated ISD says students from J. Economedes High School and Memorial Middle School were involved in the bus crash after school at Terry and Richardson Road.

The school bus crashed into a car and the passengers from that vehicle were transported to the hospital.

The students were placed on another bus to resume their routes home. The school district said none of students on the bus were hurt.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident with assistance from Edinburg CISD.
