Shark warning signs have been posted at Waimea Bay after two were observed this afternoon, according to city officials.
Honolulu Ocean Safety also posted a shark warning to HNL Alert shortly after 2:30 p.m., saying two sharks had been observed feeding on a bait ball in the middle of Waimea Bay.
“If you see or encounter a shark, notify Ocean Safety personnel or call 911 immediately,” said the alert.
