Warner criticizes GOP spending bill ahead of possible shutdown

VIRGINIA (CBS19) — With another potential government shutdown looming, U.S. Sen. Mark Warner is criticizing Republicans’ efforts to rebrand the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

Warner, a Virginia Democrat, said the legislation would strip health care coverage from millions of Americans, reduce food assistance for students and limit deductions for charitable donations.
