President Donald Trump has threatened to take away Rosie O'Donnell's U.S. citizenship, extending his long-running personal attacks against the American-born comedian.

In a post on Truth Social on Wednesday, he wrote: "As previously mentioned, we are giving serious thought to taking away Rosie O'Donnell's Citizenship. She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!"

It is not the first time that Trump has threatened to revoke O'Donnell's citizenship . In July, he wrote on social media that he was giving "serious consideration" to revoking her citizenship, and that she was "not in the best interests of our great country."
