NORWAY – The North Dickinson Nordics and the Norway Knights locked up in a quite a tussle Tuesday evening at Norway High School before the Nordics left with a 26-24, 17-25, 25-23, 26-24 win in Skyline Central Conference play.
“The contest was competitive from start to finish, ending on a thunderous kill by senior Aubrey Applekamp,” Nordics coach Taylor Johnson said of her top middle. “Norway played tremendous defense and covered the floor really well.”
Applekamp had a career-best hitting night with 16 kills to pace the Nordics, while senior setter Raina Ledzian returned to the lineup after an ankle injury with a strong performance, finishing with 27 assists, 14 digs, nine kills and six aces.
