Don’t be surprised if you see Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir doing a little rain dance on Saturday morning.

A sell-out crowd of almost 60,000 fans will greet the Dockers for Saturday night’s elimination final against Gold Coast at Optus Stadium, but it could be a wet one with between two and 15 millimetres of rain forecast for the day.

The Dockers struggled to handle wet and slippery conditions in recent years, but they have turned it into a strength in 2025.

Their most notable wet-weather win this season was on the Gold Coast, when their ability to thrive at ground level helped deliver an upset 11-point win.
