Sydney has opened up its New Year's Eve website and is offering thousands of free tickets to watch the fireworks in the harbour this year.
The website has an interactive map pointing to all the free and ticketed vantage points.
The draw opened at 9am today but people can still enter the ballot for a chance at free tickets.
Most vantage points are free this year, so the Sydney council is encouraging locals to get in early and secure their spots.
Nearly 8000 tickets will be to watch the fireworks from the Cahill Expressway.
"The Cahill Expressway has been part of Sydney's New Year's celebrations since 2000. It's a great night - and best of all, it's free," said the NSW Transport Minister Josh .
"With stunning views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the city skyline - and of course
