In South American World Cup qualification, Jefferson Lerma and Daniel Muñoz were both called up by Colombia with Los Cafeteros bidding to turn their recent form around – winless in six matches heading into the window.
But with Muñoz suspended due to accumulation of yellow cards for a home matcha against Bolivia in Barranquilla, Lerma still started and played 82 minutes in a dominant 3-0 win – one which secured Colombia's place at next summer's World Cup finals.
