Threads has just introduced a new feature that lets users add text blocks of up to 10,000 characters to a post, with formatting options and expandable view inside the app.
Instead of posting as a string of short updates or resorting to screenshots, users can now attach expansive content directly to their Threads.
The new capability launches with a simple icon in the post composer. A rounded rectangle icon invites users to open a mini word editor where they can type away freely and use formatting options like bold, italics, underlines, and strikethroughs.
Once published, it appears as a compact block under the main post. When someone taps this block it expands revealing the full content in place. If the original post contains a link, that link also appears in the expanded view making it
