ELKINS, W.Va. (WBOY) — A new 38,000 square-foot WVU Medicine medical center is now open in Elkins.

Officials from the City of Elkins and United Hospital Center came together on Thursday to cut the ribbon on the new Elkins Corridor Medical Center facility, which UHC officials said represents "a new era of accessible, high-quality healthcare."

According to UHC, the state-of-the-art facility is 38,000 square feet, with 34 exam rooms, two procedure rooms and one cast room. Care available at the facility includes: • Family and Preventive Care: Services for individuals of all ages. • Rapid Care: Same-day care to treat everything from the common cold to fractures and sprains. • Lab and Infusion Services: On-site access to essential medications, fluids, and nutrients. • Advanced Imaging:
