DUNBAR, Pa. —

The Dunbar community will come together for two candlelight vigils in honor of 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey.

The first vigil was taking place Friday evening at the Franklin Memorial Methodist Church. Another will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Dunbar Community Playground. Advertisement

“She was a caring little girl. She always wanted to help,” said Christine Fletcher, the victim’s great aunt.

Renesmay was reported missing Wednesday before her body was later discovered in the Youghiogheny River.

The child’s adoptive parent, 31-year-old Kourtney Eutsey, is charged with criminal homicide .

“For her to be found … they’re monsters. They’re monsters,” Fletcher said.
