A body has been found in the search for a spearfisherman who disappeared two days ago at Seal Rocks, on the NSW Mid North Coast.

The body is yet to be identified but is believed to be that of the 32-year-old missing man, NSW Police said.

Police divers found the body near where the spearfisherman went missing about 11.30am.

Police and emergency services were called to the Myall Lakes National Park at Seal Rocks on Wednesday morning at around 10.50am on Wednesday, after the diver did not emerge from the water.

Police were told the diver had entered the water about half an hour earlier near Skeleton Rock.

An intensive air, land and water search was immediately launched for the missing diver.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
