A spectacular Blood Moon lunar eclipse will glow in skies all over the world this weekend as the Moon is bathed in a coppery glow.
The celestial event happens when the Sun, Earth and Moon align, plunging the Moon into Earth's shadow and transforming its usual bright glow into a striking red-orange hue – hence the name 'Blood Moon'.
On September 7, the Moon will rise above the horizon at around 7.30pm in the UK, bringing with it a lunar eclipse.
