Fresh from a red-hot start to the European season, 19-year-old livewire Nestory Irankunda makes his long-awaited international return against New Zealand in leg one of the Soccer Ashes in Canberra.

Irankunda, who has scored two direct free-kicks in his last two games for English Championship side Watford, will start on the bench for Tony Popovic's side.

It is the first time Australia has taken to the field since June's away win over Saudi Arabia, with which it secured direct passage to next year's World Cup in North America.
