A man of the land and passionate community advocate was singled out for a special honour, as Tamworth businesses celebrated another 'quality' year.

On Friday night, more than 870 members of the business community came together at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre (TRECC) for a black tie gala to honour the best of the best in local business.

The 41st annual Tamworth Quality Business Awards saw a record number of entries with 1021 individual businesses nominated across 30 categories, to be assessed by more than 45 independent judges.

Chamber president David Errington reflected on the significance of the evening, noting the Quality Business Awards continue to be a "powerful celebration of excellence across the region".
